J. Frank McGill was the Cooperative Extension peanut agronomist stationed at the University of Georgia Coastal Plain Experiment Station in Tifton, Georgia from 1954 until 1980. In recognition of his major contributions to agriculture, J. Frank McGill was inducted into the University of Georgia Agricultural Hall of Fame in 1996. From the description of J.
